Hello! I’m currently an engineering student, and since I have fewer units this semester, I’m looking for something productive to focus on.

Right now, I’m watching freeCodeCamp videos on Data Analysis, starting with SQL since it’s not my strongest area yet. I also installed MySQL earlier and have been exploring it. I already have some background in Excel and Python, but I still plan to go through the lessons thoroughly.

I wanted to ask for some advice:
• How do you usually build a data portfolio? Is it better to create a PDF, or should I focus on GitHub projects instead?
• Any tips on applying to companies while still an undergrad?

My family is currently facing some financial challenges, so I’m hoping to find a work-from-home opportunity related to data engineering if possible.
