The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District, Black Butte Ranch Fire District and Cloverdale Fire District said debris burning will close at sunset Thursday. The seasonal shutdown applies across their jurisdictions, while debris burning in the city limits of Sisters remains prohibited year-round. In the Bend area, officials with the City of Bend reiterated that yard debris burning is permanently banned within city limits. In surrounding areas served by Bend Fire & Rescue and Deschutes Rural Fire Protection District No. 2, debris burning is allowed seasonally but will also close after midnight Thursday.
