The seasonal shutdown applies across their jurisdictions, while debris burning in the city limits of Sisters remains prohibited year-round. In the Bend area, officials with the City of Bend reiterated that yard debris burning is permanently banned within city limits. In surrounding areas served by Bend Fire & Rescue and Deschutes Rural Fire Protection District No. 2, debris burning is allowed seasonally but will also close after midnight Thursday.
