An expert has revealed the key phrases to use to avoid customer service chatbots and speak to a real person instead.
Appearing on BBC Morning Live on Monday (11 May), consumer expert Holly Hamilton revealed that she has little fondness for the technology, stating that they “create a wall between you and actually speaking to a human being instead”.
Hamilton has shared her key phrases that you should use if you want to skip over AI interactions, including: “Am I speaking to a human?” and “I want to complain”.
She told viewers that these phrases are more likely to work during staffed office hours. : “Think about it - if you're trying to do this at nine o'clock at night, it's very unlikely that you will actually have a real advisor standing by.”
