I hope this didn't come off as a dumb question, but I've noticed that we tend to be very fragile when it comes to sleep. We can go days without food and feel completely fine, endure stress for a long time before going crazy, surround ourselves with toxins for years before they start to have an effect... but getting less than 8 hours of sleep just one night turns you into a zombie. Why is sleep an area we lack resiliency in? Why does sleep deprivation start to make you dysfunctional in just a day or two? submitted by /u/counwovja0385skje [link] [comments]
