Comedian Nate Bargatze is facing backlash from some fans after photos surfaced showing him at UFC Freedom 250, the controversial fight card held on the White House South Lawn. Bargatze has spent years cultivating a largely apolitical public image, making his presence at one of the year's most politically charged entertainment events a surprise to many followers.
The criticism intensified after actress Cheryl Hines shared a photo featuring Bargatze alongside her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Additional images and video from the event showed Bargatze among the crowd as Trump, UFC executives, cabinet officials, athletes, and celebrities gathered for the historic card. While some critics interpreted the appearance as a political statement, The Daily Beast reported that a source close to Bargatze said he attended because of his passion for mixed martial arts, not politics.
