Speaking for myself, the world of rich people often feels as fictional as Middle-earth or Westeros. Like, I've read about wealth, I've seen it on TV, but I've never really experienced it firsthand. How do they do it?? 1. "Network!!! There’s a reason rich people go to all those clubs and serve on boards: to meet other like-minded people! One can easily build up a professional network at any socioeconomic level, especially with tools like LinkedIn or Threads/Instagram, etc." 2. "My friend has an email account she runs for her 'personal assistant' (who does not exist), and books her hotels through this nonexistent person on her behalf. She routinely asks for discounts through flattery, 'Oh, Mrs. Smith simply ADORES this hotel chain blah blah…' and gets her rooms comped all the damn time. She’s even helped us get discounts, lol.
