They have worked together for a long time now. At stops in Minnesota and New Orleans and Seattle. They can and do talk about everything. About responsibilities. About X’s and O’s. About how the quarterbacks are breaking a huddle. About what the kids are studying in school. Andrew Janocko wanted to be here. Wanted to follow Klint Kubiak from the Super Bowl winning Seahawks. Wanted to be a first-time NFL offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders under their new head coach. Wanted to be part of building something. Of creating a culture. A new role “Bringing the shield back and then getting to work with unbelievable people,” Janocko said. “That’s something in this business that really goes underrated is when you can work with good people. It makes the job, the stresses of the job, the good parts even better and the bad parts, you want to fight through those things with the people that you’re around.” He is merging into a new role and there is no doubt Kubiak’s presence will aid in the transition.
