I just inherited an old B2B email list at work and I’m trying not to nuke our sender reputation. It’s around 45k contacts. Some are from demo requests, some from webinars, some from old content downloads. On paper they’re “active contacts,” but realistically a lot of these people probably moved jobs or the emails are dead. I pulled a random 1k sample and it was messy enough that I don’t feel comfortable uploading the full thing into our ESP yet. My rough plan was: remove obvious junk and dead domains verify the emails that still look usable enrich missing or outdated work emails where possible maybe pass the better-fit accounts to sales after that The annoying part is cost. Most enrichment options I looked at seem built for ongoing usage or credit packs, not a one-off cleanup of an old list. Has anyone here cleaned a list this size before?
