Moments before a Utah judge sentenced Kouri Richins to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering her husband, the children’s grief book author spoke publicly for the first time. Richins stood at the podium in a lime green jail uniform on Wednesday and sobbed as she delivered a message to her three young sons, offering marriage advice while pleading for forgiveness and insisting she never abandoned them.
