Nevada is built on independence, freedom and practical transportation, yet it still makes it unnecessarily difficult for residents who want to obtain a motorcycle-only license. With gasoline prices and car ownership costs rising, more Nevadans are turning to motorcycles as a cost-effective option. However, the current licensing process remains confusing and overly tied to standard automobile requirements. People who intend to legally operate only a motorcycle should not have to face unnecessary barriers designed for car drivers. Riding a motorcycle requires its own specific training, handling skills, safety awareness and road testing. Nevada recognizes this by requiring motorcycle permits, endorsements and rider education. Yet the state has failed to create a truly streamlined process that treats motorcycle transportation as its own category. This matters because when legal licensing becomes too complicated, expensive or frustrating, it discourages compliance.…
