A year later, photographer Thérèse Bonney snapped it alongside a real cat model, showing just how much the artists simplified the shape while still conveying the unmistakable feline attitude. It wasn't just a one-off piece, either. The design was produced by the Sèvres porcelain manufactory in materials such as porcelain and stoneware, with other versions made in terracotta and bronze.
