Link and Zelda’s journey from game consoles to the big screen is getting fast-tracked with Nintendo moving up the live-action adaptation’s release date . On Wednesday, Nintendo exec and The Legend of Zelda co-creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced that the upcoming Sony Pictures title’s theatrical premiere is moving up May 7 to April 30, 2027. “This is Miyamoto. I would like to let you know that the worldwide theatrical release date for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda has been moved up to April 30, 2027, from May 7,” he announced on X . “The team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible.
