The Strokes Debut New Song "Falling Out of Love" on Colbert

The Strokes stopped by  The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night give the debut performance of their brand new song, “Falling Out of Love.” The performance featured some particularly dazzling lighting; though the band was often submerged in darkness, each member had their own set of lasers circling around them. It resulted in a straight line of rotating lasers on stage, with Julian Casablancas crooning in his signature sunglasses at the center. Get The Strokes Tickets Here Even with autotune, Casablancas had his work cut out for him on “Falling Out of Love,” with both choruses featuring some extensive falsetto moments; though he was a bit shaky from time to time, Casablancas and the band sounded locked in. Notably absent from the performance, however, was founding guitarist Nick Valensi. The band announced last night that Valensi would be taking a temporary break from their upcoming tour; Steve Schlitz filled in for the guitarist and appeared alongside The Strokes on Colbert.…
