Take 3 🎬 I’m on a journey to master the cheapest but most delicious “street tacos”. I was inspired by my empty wallet and the fact that I am obsessed with street tacos and could eat them every day. I started with using ground beef instead of steak, then I tried ground beef cut with corn to stretch it more. This time, I tried ground beef cut with black beans. Consensus? Great for the wallet and still delicious, but the black beans made the filling a bit dry and it kind of tasted reminiscent of chili. Also, I think I’m missing a really good salsa. Street tacos are usually juicy and this was not that. I added lime juice to my onion & cilantro mixture along with some fresh garlic. It definitely helped but salsa is still needed. Back to the drawing board! Today’s run was $22.14 or about 92 cents a taco because I went to the local grocery store which is more expensive.…
