Published 2:21 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2026 A 6-year-old Redmond girl died after being hit by a camping trailer at the Link Creek Campground near Suttle Lake Saturday afternoon. The victim was identified Wednesday as Ember Cuen, a Vern Patrick Elementary student. The school’s parent teacher association spoke with the family and started a  GoFundMe  to support them. “It is with a heavy heart that we share news of a tragic loss within our Vern Patrick Elementary community. One of our families is facing every parent’s worst nightmare, as our own sweet Ember Cuen passed away on May 23, 2026. Let’s come together to show the Cuen family that we are all behind them and with them in their time of need and grief,” wrote the parent group on Facebook.
