EXCLUSIVE: Kristofer Hivju ( Game of Thrones ) has joined Swedish drama Where the Sun Always Shines , which has been renewed for a second season by SkyShowtime . Comcast and Paramount owned SkyShowtime said the first season of the show was a breakout hit on its European streaming service. Johan Glans and Celie Sparre also join the cast and cameras are now rolling on Season 2. Where the Sun Always Shines  (aka Där Solen Alltid Skiner ) was created and directed by Felix Herngren ( Bonus Family ). Season 2 sees the return of Per Lasson, Lisa Linnertorp, Erik “Jerka” Johansson and Rakel Wärmländer. The new season picks up where the first left off, following the two ex-pat families as they attempt to build a new life in the Spanish sun, while continuing to grapple with unresolved conflicts and complex family dynamics.
