TLDR: Second attempt after a 165V/155Q first try. Key changes in order of importance: PrepSwift for Quant foundation, vocab via Anki/Claude Widget, and doing ETS material for quant. Background: Dual B.S. in Math and Economics, ~6 years post-grad. Counterintuitively for a STEM background, Quant was my weak spot β the math faded fast once I left school. Native English speaker who reads a lot (news/blogs, not books). First attempt: 165V, 155Q, studying only from the 5lb book with no knowledge of ETS official materials or this sub. Quant Foundation first: PrepSwift is the best tool out there for building the foundation. Don't book your test until your foundation quiz scores are consistently where they need to be β reschedules were really expensive for me. Mine were 60β80% going into my test, which was borderline insufficient I think. If you want 165+, aim for 90%+.β¦
