St. Louis-based Tarlton has promoted Chief Operating Officer Sondra Rotty to the added role of president. She joined in 2005 as a project engineer and was named COO in 2024. Rotty has worked on projects including renovation of the Old Courthouse for the National Park Service and Gateway Arch Park Foundation; the Olin Business School expansion for Washington University in St. Louis; the East Building addition at the St. Louis Art Museum; and the renovation of 900 Tucker Blvd., the former St. Louis Post-Dispatch building. Riley Construction, a construction management and general contracting firm with offices in Waukegan, Ill., and Milwaukee, Madison and Kenosha, Wis., has named nonfamily owners to leadership roles for the first time.
