Ryan Lawson Rethinks a 1,500-Square-Foot Bungalow for One Houston Couple

The result is filled with color, pattern, and the couple’s eclectic art collection In the library of Greg Lofgren and Don Bayer’s Houston, Texas home designed by AD100 designer Ryan Lawson, the Chinese day bed was repurposed with a custom mattress from Charles H. Beckley and covered in a Zak+Fox fabric. The curtain is of a Pindler fabric and the vintage Butterfly Chair is by McGuire . The suspended burned-wood sculpture is by Lofgren’s college instructor, sculptor James Surls . The project’s interior architecture is by Will and Raul Baez with landscaping by McKinnon Associates and construction by Corvid Construction. After 25 years living in the same home in Houston, Texas , Greg Lofgren and Don Bayer reached out to New York–based AD100 designer Ryan Lawson to help them reconsider the space. “They were collectors , but they wanted an editor to help bring it together,” Lawson says.…
