It’s finally happening. For the first time in 13 years, a new Call of Duty game will be available on a Nintendo console. Later this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, along with PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, marking the first CoD game on Nintendo since Call of Duty: Ghosts launched on the Nintendo Wii U way back in 2013. Image via Activision In 2023, Microsoft and Activision announced a 10-year agreement to bring CoD to Nintendo platforms, and this is the first time it’s actually coming to fruition. Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 have all released since, with Nintendo nowhere in sight. I visited Infinity Ward’s studio last week to get a first look at MW4 , including the game’s campaign and multiplayer offerings, and the devs confirmed that the new CoD will launch on the latest Nintendo handheld/console hybrid and is being developed “natively” for the new console by Digital Legends, in partnership with Infinity Ward.…
