I wanted to highlight how awesome the Detroit Free Prix day is. I have 2 littles who can't handle the constant stimulation and sound for more than a couple hours so ive never been able to take them to a race before. We got to go down today, sit in the stands, and hear and feel the IMSA and indy cars first all for the price of parking (and some Rexy merch) the kids immediately fell in love and even got some stickers from the indy teams when we were watching them through the fence. We came away with two new little race fans, a happy mom, and a super happy dad. It would be really cool for more locations and series to pick the trend up. Side note; There's also a bunch of really cool free watching places you can find further away from the track which was really useful for our neurodivergent guy as the stands were understandably allot for him. submitted by /u/blur494 [link] [comments]
