Getty Images The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to maintain their “every other year, a Super Bowl appearance” cadence in 2026. As fans may recall, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and co. suffered a heartbreaking 23-19 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs this past January after having advanced to the Big Game in February ’23 and ’25, And, while that early exit was certainly disappointing, the team suffered a similar fate in ’24 when they fell to the Bucs in the Wild Card round before winning it all in February 2025 (and snapping the Chiefs’ Super Bowl streak). In order to keep this unusual pattern going, Nick Sirianni’s squad will have to maintain their winning ways in the regular season this year.
