Salem have dropped a new album called ‘Red Dragon’ in a surprise release. READ MORE: Album Review: Salem – King Night (Iamsound) The record marks the first from the Michigan band in six years, following on the heels from their 2020 album ‘Fires In Heaven’. It also marks their first release since Heather Marlatt – who was a founding member of the witch-house band in 2006 – left the band after their last record. The group is now a duo of Jack Donoghue and John Holland. Salem had not been teasing any new releases in recent times, and they caught fans off guard yesterday (Thursday May 14) by dropping the new record without any warning. Titled ‘Red Dragon’, the new LP clocks in at nearly two-hours long and is comprised of 31 tracks. Song names include ‘Lucy Fur’, ‘Withoutu’, ‘Salt Lick’, ‘Piggyhog’, ‘Every Mothers Son’ and more, and according to Pitchfork , some of the songs – including the title track – seem to feature vocals from Marlatt.
