Fans got a show before the minor league matchup between the Triple-A Charlotte Knights and the Gwinnett Stripers last Friday. Ronald McDonald, the clown character and McDonald’s mascot, performed a rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” and left some in disbelief at Truist Field in Charlotte. A few Knights players couldn’t keep a straight face during the song, as seen in a video online. “You never know what you’ll see in the ballpark,” the Knights captioned an Instagram post, including a video of Ronald McDonald in full costume and face paint while on the field.
