Published 1:05 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2026 Weather forecasts for Tuesday, May 12 predict possible record-breaking temperatures in parts of Central Oregon. Temperatures are expected as high as the low 90s for parts of Central Oregon — about 10 degrees warmer than the day before, with a high-pressure system in the area, but that is not expected to last through later in the day or tomorrow. “Today is going to be one of our hottest days of the year so far,” said Brandon Lawhorn, lead meteorologist for the Pendleton office of the National Weather Service. “Then by tomorrow we’re looking at a pretty significant cool off.” Even looking at predictions for the next five days, Lawhorn said temperatures should “remain fairly cool.” In Madras, Redmond and Bend, the forecast plans to cool off dramatically on Wednesday, with forecasts predicted in the low 60s. Going into Saturday, temperatures could be around 58 degrees. Record breaking temperatures for May Tuesday’s high temperatures could break records.…
