EXCLUSIVE: It was an online phenomenon in the early 2010s and a licensing behemoth, and now Moshi Monsters is being reimagined for the late 2020s. MInd Candy , the company behind the brand, is working former Netflix exec Alexi Wheeler on a new animated action-comedy series. The show will mark Moshi Monsters ‘ “full-scale comeback as a multi-platform entertainment franchise,” its makers say. Targeting a late 2028 launch, the series will reimagine the Moshi universe with “fast-paced, character-driven stories.” Producers are billing it as “ Teen Titans meets Gumball , and will aim to introduc the brand to a new generation of children aged 6-12 while bringing in long-time fans. The series is being developed in partnership with Wheeler’s Wheel in Motion (WIM), the Superprod Group-owned production company based out of London. Since WIM’s launch in 2024, it has focused on developing animated and live-action series for kids and family audiences, with Moshi Monsters amon its biggest projects to date.…
