If you have around $500 to spend on a new smartphone, the Google Pixel 10a and Samsung Galaxy A57 are highly likely to be on your list of options. Both are great choices, but is one better than the other? I’ve been using the Galaxy A57 as my main phone, and have recently carried the Pixel 10a too, to find out. Read our review How the two phones feel Small, but important differences The Google Pixel 10a is the more compact phone of the two, mostly because of its 6.3-inch P-OLED screen compared to the Galaxy A57’s 6/7-inch Super AMOLED screen. However, don’t take the compact nature to mean it has a slender, lightweight frame. The Galaxy A57’s metal chassis is just 6.9mm thick, and you really notice the difference between it and the Pixel 10a’s 9mm thickness. The Google phone is a few grams heavier, too, despite using plastic on the rear panel compared to the Galaxy A57’s Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. Take a look at the bezels around the screen.…
