We’re announcing our Texas Energy Impact Fund’s first recipients, a significant milestone in our $30 million commitment to energy resilience and affordability in the Lone Star State. In its inaugural year, the fund is supporting: The Energy Management Alliance (TEMA) to expand energy manager training to rural communities and fund efficiency upgrades in public buildings in Armstrong, Ellis, Haskell and Wilbarger Counties. Texas Energy Poverty Research Institute (TEPRI) grants to fund innovation challenges focused on improving energy resilience, affordability and efficiency for multifamily buildings and electric cooperatives. Solar United Neighbors (SUN) to deploy solar energy, batteries and heat pumps in low-income households and as community resilience hubs in Ellis County. Pre-weatherization — home repairs to increase energy savings, health and safety — in the Houston area through HARC (Houston Advanced Research Center) , and in Armstrong, Ellis, Haskell and Wilbarger Counties through SUN, TEPRI and TEMA.…
