Before Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos make their debut as honorary co-chairs and lead financial sponsors of the Met Gala on Monday, the couple will hold court at a private pre-party over the weekend. The subject line of emailed invites to the Saturday night soiree reads, “INVITE: Jeff and Lauren Bezos Invite You.” Inside, a disco-inspired image features a profile of someone that shows just shows their nose and slightly opened mouth. Their lipstick is red and sparkles with lots of glitter. “Pre-Met celebration on May 2 at 8 p.m.,” the invite reads. “Address: to come upon confirmation.” Sources tell me the party may be taking place at the Bezoses’ New York City residence. The couple’s rep did not comment.
