A 26-year-old man has died in hospital after a group of pedestrians were hit by a car in Nottinghamshire on the weekend. Police said a murder inquiry is under way after Tyler Fairman was pronounced dead on Tuesday, three days after the incident. Fairman, a footballer who played for non-league side Woodthorpe Park Rangers, was one of several pedestrians injured after a red Vauxhall Astra mounted a kerb and struck a group of people in Arnold, near Nottingham, in the early hours of Saturday. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Nottinghamshire Police said Fairman was taken to hospital immediately but died “despite the best efforts of medical professionals”.
