Rachel Entrekin had three goals for the Cocodona 250 Mile . None of them were just for her. The first was for the women’s competitors to finish close to the 60-hour mark. The second was for a woman to place in the top three overall. And the third was to have three women finish in the top 10. She went 3/3. Early Monday morning, Entrekin, 34, set out for 250 miles through central Arizona. By Wednesday afternoon, she finished in a new course record of 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 48 seconds, becoming the first woman to win the race overall. It was a historic moment in women’s ultrarunning. Not only did Entrekin win outright, but behind her were Courtney Dauwalter, who finished sixth overall, and Megan Eckert, who was eighth.
