In response to the war in Ukraine, one of the country's most storied football clubs has formed an amputee team, offering players a renewed sense of purpose. (5:29) Shakhtar Donetsk sporting director Darijo Srna recalls "a couple of times" when the Ukrainian club's players and staff had to huddle together in their hotel reception, alerted to an incoming drone strike and waiting for the call to head for the air-raid shelter. It happened once on matchday. "We were all in reception together until 6 a.m. but did not go and afterwards we slept until 12, then we had a meeting at 2 and a game at 4 p.m.," Srna tells ESPN. "We lost, but this is part of our life." Tuesday marks four years of this reality.
