Jean C. Nachtwey April 14, 1933 – February 28, 2026 Surrounded by family, Jean passed peacefully at home on February 28, 2026. She was tightly connected with her beloved family and community, leaving her mark on the many who knew and loved her. In high school, she met Donald Nachtwey, who became the love of her life. They were married in March, 1954. She was a Coast Guard officer’s wife and his partner in mischief. They spent the next 69 years celebrating their love. Jean was a woman ahead of her time. She was sharp witted, independent, and determined. She had a lifelong love of the water and walking the bridges overlooking the shores. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is dearly missed by her four children, David (Beverly) Nachtwey, Michelle Albrecht, Elizabeth Eagney, Carolyn (Eric) Davenport. She was “Nanny” or Grandma to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Capt. Donald Nachtwey.…
