Yard Act Announce New Album You're Gonna Need a Little Music, Share New Song "Redeemer"

Yard Act are back to announce their third album, You’re Gonna Need a Little Music, out on July 17th via Republic Records. They’ve also shared the lead single, “Redeemer.” The post-punk band’s new album follows 2024’s  Where’s My Utopia?   and was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnson. The quartet notes in a press release that  You’re Gonna Need a Little Music  is the first album that they made “as a live band in the same room.” The project features a different lyrical focus from vocalist James Smith, using a more “impressionistic” and observational angle:  “I think the album is about multiple realities and how individualism has led us, in the modern world, to question if there even is a shared reality anymore because everyone just believes what they want now,” Smith said.
