Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC, in partnership with the RAVE Foundation and Friends of Waterfront Park, have announced a new festival set atop a floating stage. In a statement shared with Complex, Hugh Weber—who serves as President of Business Operations for Seattle’s pro-level soccer clubs—called the Lenovo-powered event, dubbed Seattle Soccer Celebration, a “defining moment” for the Washington city. “Seattle Soccer Celebration is more than a fan experience, it’s a global expression of who we are and what we believe sport can do,” Weber said. “By bringing the world’s game onto Elliott Bay, we’re creating something never seen before while delivering on a promise to our community.
