Of course, we knew season 3 of the Fallout TV show was greenlit before season 2 even released. Good thing, too, because most of season 2 was setup that's going to look much worse in retrospect if it never actually pays off. Season 3 looks to be setting up, quite frankly, exactly the same conflict as 2010's Fallout: New Vegas , with slaver army Caesar's Legion, the semi-functional nation of the New California Republic, and pre-apocalypse business magnate Mr. House coming to blows over the contested territory of New Vegas. Again, Season 2 has taken great pains to functionally undo everything from the game so that it can repeat the plot of the game . If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess?
