Last summer I hitchhiked around Turkey with a group of strangers. Here's how it worked.
We all met online, and first saw each other at the starting point. We were 12 people in total.
At the starting point, we split into groups of three. Every part of the route was designed to be easily doable in a single day.
At every destination, we all met up, spent time together, stayed at the same hostel, and reshuffled the teams, so everyone got new partners for the next leg.
I put together a one-minute video from clips we recorded on our phones: thetravelclub.org/videos/ra.mp4
We'd like to do the same thing this summer, in late August. We'll start from Istanbul again, but haven't decided on the route yet. It will be 9 days in total. So far there's 5 of us. If anyone's up for it, let me know!
