Logo text Which Star Wars movies and TV shows are the most popular on streaming? Some new data from Nielsen reveals some surprising results. For May the Fourth, a.k.a. “Star Wars Day”, Nielsen released a breakdown analyzing the popularity of Star Wars titles on Disney+ (which is the franchise’s primary hub). The first thing that stands out is that the biggest chunk of viewing time, 44 percent, were fans watching live-action Star Wars movies compared to 39 percent watching live-action series and 17 percent watching animated shows. So despite literally hundreds of hours of Star Wars TV shows existing, the 11 films generated an outsized share of viewing. The most-streamed title in 2025 was Andor and its 18 episodes.
