A rider was seriously hurt after losing control of their motorcycle while driving around a residential area on the city’s east side, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The motorcyclist was trying to navigate a curve around 2 a.m. Saturday near North Carefree Circle and Oro Blanco Drive when they lost control of the vehicle. The rider was taken to a hospital, police said.

Speed is likely a factor in the crash, according to police.
