How can I extend the life of a second hand book
So I just bought a second hand book, actually the first time I've shopped second hand, and it is actually holding up quite well. However it is definitely showing the use, and it is a mass market edition. Now mass markets as far as I know aren't the most durable things in the word, so there is a little voice in my head that is paranoid about it just randomly giving up while I read it and falling apart, giving the wear it is already showing. I was thinking maybe laminating it would help keep it together for longer, or maybe putting tape on the edges or something. I haven't really ever done anything like that to a book however, so I wanted to ask people with more experience, would these ideas do any good, is there a better way to go about this, or should I just leave it be and hope for the best?
Thanks for any answers😊
