Richmond Dean Greenough, Jr.

September 8, 1940 – April 4, 2026

Richmond Dean Greenough, Jr. died peacefully at home on April 4, 2026. He served 25 years in the US Coast Guard, graduating from the Coast Guard Academy in 1962. In 1983, he completed his CG career and started a second career in facilities development for local government/higher education, retiring fully in 2001. He moved to Bend, OR in 2011 and SaddleBrooke, AZ in 2021.

Dean is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda; daughters Kim Conrad (Dante) and Betsy Murphy, sisters Gayle Frasch and Susan Hayes; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Allan and sister Judy. He loved cooking, volunteering at Bend’s Family Kitchen, RVing, golf and traveling.
