Nothing has been pretty conservative with colors across its audio lineup. The Ear (open) launched last fall in white only, which frustrated fans used to seeing Nothing experiment with bolder colors. That changes on May 11, when Nothing adds the Nothing Ear (open) Blue to the lineup. The Nothing Ear (open) Blue is a straight colorway addition with no spec changes and no new features. Under the hood, you’re still getting the same Ear (open) from September 2024 . That means 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, and IP54 dust and water resistance. Total battery life with the case stays at 30 hours. The open-ear design wraps around the back of your ear rather than sitting inside it, letting you listen while staying aware of your surroundings. There’s no active noise cancellation, but that’s sort of the whole point with this style of earbud.
