Activision and Infinity Ward revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 yesterday, which will be the first entry in this generation to release only on current-gen consoles, leaving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One behind. It won’t be alone, as Call of Duty Warzone is also abandoning last-gen hardware. In a blog post , Activision announced that Call of Duty’s popular battle royale is being removed from PS4 and Xbox One storefronts on June 4. Once this happens, it will no longer be available for download. If the game is already in your library, you can still install and play Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One through the end of Season 6 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Overall support for the last-gen versions of Warzone will cease later this year, but Activision does not give an exact shutdown date.
