Hey, I got accepted into rit and njit for industrial design and am deciding between them.

I want to go to rit because of its super in depth curriculum and just the amount of hands on opportunities i can get with working with tools and material, and its emphasis on the artistic side of design.

Rit also has a much better co-op and stronger ID community.

NJIT is the opposite in this as they are much more science and engineering focused. They treat you like a artsy engineer instead of a designer.

NJITs entire ID community is im pretty sure ~100 or less students and faculty with 2 dedicated workshop buildings.

I have also gotten both RIT and NJIR to around 40k

Im hesitating mostly because NJIT is much closer to me as a NJ resident, and RIT is known for having seriously bleak depressing winters.

Ive struggled with depression before and bleak weather without seeing the sun is what i find to be my single biggest trigger. knowing this would RIT be advisable? or would it be better to stick with NJIT?
