I was in attendance for the Indy 500 Sunday. As we all know, when you are there, in person, the perspective is extremely different from tv coverage. In person you fully get to immerse yourself in truly how fast these cars are going. You get to witness overtakes that may not be covered on the broadcast. I can go on and on about this topic. However, when I rewatched the race monday. I noticed a couple of alternative camera angles that were absolutely amazing in my opinion. The attached video shows one of the exact camera angles I am refering to. To me it shows the speed that these cars are moving. I also believe that this angle is more of what you would witness at the race as a spectator, which gives more of a immersed feeling for a tv viewer. My question/topic up for dicussion is: are the camera angles and coverage outdated? I know Fox had been experimenting with different angles.…
