Twenty-five years and 25 million albums later, Jack Johnson has transcended his humble North Shore upbringing and evolved into an internationally renowned, platinum-selling recording artist. His new album, "SURFILMUSIC," just dropped, and with it a new documentary film of the same title, as well as an expansive tour that will take him and his band around the world this summer and fall. "I’ve always thought of my genre as surf film music. It’s music inspired by growing up on surf films, but also songs that I started writing while I was on surf trips," Johnson told SURFER in our new print issue .
