I've read countless times here on reddit and elsewhere that conti mtb tyres are hard to install... but it wasn't the case for me.
Just installed a 27.5 Kryptotal Fr downhill casing ultrasoft compound on a DT swiss ex1501 with 30mm channel, with a tube. It was surprisingly easy, with just 2 Pedro's levers. It snapped in place at 1.7 bars with a floor pump
I don't know if they updated something, but it was easier than both Maxxis and Schwalbe (both with DH casings) in my experience.
So don't be scared to buy some, it's really simple.
