Crucial Pro 2x24GB DDR5 6000 compatible out of the box with Asus ROG STRIX B850-A? So, I've been running the same PC since 2016, with 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a GTX 1070, and I'm finally looking to upgrade since prices just keep going up and my old PC is starting to run very slow when I play newer games even on the lowest settings. (also kind of becoming a fire hazard since only the front case fans work and the dust buildup is bad) The only thing I've yet to decide on is what sort of memory I want, but a 2x24GB kit seems like it would provide the memory I need for the next 10 years. But, for the Crucial Pro Kit at least, PCPartpicker says the BIOS may require an update to support certain 24GB sticks of RAM, which, I suppose I could attempt, doesn't seem too too hard. But I could also just get a 2x32GB kit to reduce the effort. I just don't imagine ever using 64GB of RAM at once, and 48 is already pushing it.…
