I have Googled the hell out of this and called several instances for information and yada yada and I am just not managing to get a resolution for this. I hope this can reach other expats that had a similar situation and experience, who can give us some advice or solutions. I have been trying to get my partner (American-Irish) registered for residency in Belgium (Antwerp more specifically) and the things that keeps bouncing back are health insurance and "proof of financial means", there seems to be no way to actually talk to a human directly or meet someone, because I would be able to explain the financial situation. You don't get an appointment with the city of Antwerp until they accept all the documents you send to them digitally through the longterm residency request on Antwerpen.be.…
