Beth Carter, age 93, formerly of Bryant, SD, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Center in De Smet, SD. Visitation will be held at Kuhler Funeral Home, Huron, Saturday, May 2, at 9:00 AM with funeral service following at 10:00 AM, then burial at Sansarc Cemetery, rural Hayes. Beth Joan Walker was the third of five children born to Henry and Anna (Fosheim) Walker on August 20, 1932, at Sansarc, SD. She began her education at Sansarc's one-room schoolhouse. The family moved to Bryant in 1941, where Beth finished her education, graduating in 1950 from Bryant High School. She graduated from Huron College with her teacher's degree; in 1979 she went back to school, earned a degree and worked as a dental lab technician. In 1952, Beth was united in marriage to Tellef Carter. They moved to Everett, Washington and had five children before moving back to South Dakota in 1975.…
